#65: How To Create A Calmer More Cooperative Relationship With Your Teens (With Hunter Clarke-Fields)
Most of us parents run through life. We have so much on our minds and so much to do, all day every day. We may not have any local family support or help at home. We’re stressed out. And on top of that we have our parents voices screaming in the back of our minds, telling us “how to raise our kids right.” Parenting is a stressful journey, and the teen years can be a major challenge when we don’t understand what role our own emotions play in our day-to-day interactions with our kids.
On the show today is Hunter Clarke-Fields, the Mindful Mama Mentor and host of the Mindful Mama podcast. Hunter is also the bestselling author of Raising Good Humans and has just released her second book, Raising Good Humans Every Day: 50 ways to press pause, stay present and connect with your kids. She talks about how, as parents, we bring our past into our parenting journey with us and how becoming more mindful will not only bring more calm to our home but will help us not to pass along our own “emotional baggage” onto our kids.
